Finally got some sensors up and plugged into Grafana.
Here’s a simple DHT11 Temperature and Humidity sensor - the blue sensor connected to a Pico W - and another Pico W running the wonderful but sadly discontinued Metriful sensor.
Good story about Claude here - I’ve had the Metriful for years, and I thought it was dead. I have a stack of other cheap sensors from AliExpress, and have discovered that I can take photos and Google (or Claude, it’s just not quite as easy to load the photo) will tell me what it is, and how to wire it up.
So I thought I’d just double-check if the Metriful was dead and Claude helped me debug it - and then made the insightful comment “The 3V3 should be connected to the VPU pin, not the VDU pin.” Squints suspiciously … these pins have text about 2mm high … swap two jumpers around, and it sprang to life.
